Upper estimate price exceeded by 32 %.
In November 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work Nest J-3 by Tadashi Kawamata. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 52,920.00 (€ 5,884.17), 32% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tadashi Kawamata have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tree Huts Plan in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 43,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nest J-3 von Tadashi Kawamata zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 52.920,00 (€ 5.884,17) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tadashi Kawamata auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tree Huts Plan im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 43.750,00.
