Upper estimate price exceeded by 44 %.
In November 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Heaven, which included the work Site Sketch N°50 by Tadashi Kawamata. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,080.00 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tadashi Kawamata have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tree Huts Plan in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 43,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Heaven durch, in der auch die Arbeit Site Sketch N°50 von Tadashi Kawamata zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.080,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tadashi Kawamata auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tree Huts Plan im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 43.750,00.
