Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ps1 Installation Plan by Tadashi Kawamata was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 6,930.00. Admittedly, works by Tadashi Kawamata have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tree Huts Plan in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 43,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ps1 Installation Plan von Tadashi Kawamata im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 6.930,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tadashi Kawamata auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tree Huts Plan im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 43.750,00.
