Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Phillips in London held the auction BRIC, which included the work Your Terrorist, Our Freedom Fighter by T. V. Santhosh. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 123,034.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by T. V. Santhosh have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2008 the work Traces of an Ancient Error was auctioned for USD 337,000.00 (€ 213,223.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Phillips in London die Auktion BRIC durch, in der auch die Arbeit Your Terrorist, Our Freedom Fighter von T. V. Santhosh zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 109.250,00 (€ 123.034,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von T. V. Santhosh konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2008 die Arbeit Traces of an Ancient Error für USD 337.000,00 (€ 213.223,66) versteigert.
