Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2010 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by T. V. Santhosh. Here, the upper estimate of USD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 110,500.00 (€ 81,244.03). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by T. V. Santhosh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Traces of an Ancient Error, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 337,000.00 (€ 213,223.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von T. V. Santhosh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 110.500,00 (€ 81.244,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von T. V. Santhosh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Traces of an Ancient Error beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 337.000,00 (€ 213.223,66) versteigert wurde.
