Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + ContemporaryArt, which included the work Rats And Man Made Famine 1 by T. V. Santhosh. The price achieved of GBP 57,650.00 (€ 63,779.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by T. V. Santhosh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Traces of an Ancient Error, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 337,000.00 (€ 213,223.66).
