Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Survivor's Testimony by T. V. Santhosh was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The price achieved of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 66,196.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by T. V. Santhosh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Traces of an Ancient Error, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 337,000.00 (€ 213,223.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Survivor's Testimony von T. V. Santhosh wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 66.196,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von T. V. Santhosh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Traces of an Ancient Error beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 337.000,00 (€ 213.223,66) versteigert wurde.
