A top price for Sydney Long - as previously expected
The work Australian the Milkmaid by Sydney Long was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. It changed hands for a price of AUD 67,200.00 (€ 39,227.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Australian the Milkmaid is the most expensive artwork by Sydney Long that we have observed at auctions so far.
