The price achieved of AUD 9,840.00 (€ 5,871.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sydney Long have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian the Milkmaid in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 67,200.00 (€ 39,227.87).
