In November 2007 Sothebys in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Flamingoes by Sydney Long. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 39,600.00 (€ 23,854.90), 32% above the upper estimate. Other works by Sydney Long have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 67,200.00 (€ 39,227.87) in August 2008 for the work Australian the Milkmaid.

Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Flamingoes von Sydney Long zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 39.600,00 (€ 23.854,90) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Sydney Long haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von AUD 67.200,00 (€ 39.227,87) im August 2008 für die Arbeit Australian the Milkmaid beobachtet.
