In February 2007 Phillips in New York held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Them by Suzanne McClelland. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,600.00 (€ 4,988.66), 32% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Suzanne McClelland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ideal Proportions: Squeeze - A Winning Hand in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,026.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2007 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Under the Influence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Them von Suzanne McClelland zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.600,00 (€ 4.988,66) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Suzanne McClelland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ideal Proportions: Squeeze - A Winning Hand im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.026,42).
