Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Suzanne McClelland achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in February 2018. In the New Now auction, the work Purkift sold for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,142.00) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Suzanne McClelland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ideal Proportions: Squeeze - A Winning Hand, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,026.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Suzanne McClelland erzielte im Februar 2018 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Purkift für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.142,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Suzanne McClelland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ideal Proportions: Squeeze - A Winning Hand beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.026,42) versteigert wurde.
