Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Susan Rothenberg was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,566.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Susan Rothenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diagonal in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,496,000.00 (€ 1,112,019.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Susan Rothenberg kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.566,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Susan Rothenberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diagonal im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.496.000,00 (€ 1.112.019,62).
