Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Goat's Leg, 1993 by Susan Rothenberg. The price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 6,013.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Susan Rothenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diagonal in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,496,000.00 (€ 1,112,019.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goat's Leg, 1993 von Susan Rothenberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 6.013,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Susan Rothenberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diagonal im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.496.000,00 (€ 1.112.019,62).
