Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Before the Show, Tunbridge, VT, and After Hours, South Carolina from Carnival Strippers by Susan Meiselas. The price achieved of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,805.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Susan Meiselas have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2018 the work Matagalpa, Nicaragua was auctioned for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,117.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Before the Show, Tunbridge, VT, and After Hours, South Carolina from Carnival Strippers von Susan Meiselas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.805,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Susan Meiselas konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2018 die Arbeit Matagalpa, Nicaragua für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.117,07) versteigert.
