A top price for Susan Meiselas - as previously expected
The work Matagalpa, Nicaragua by Susan Meiselas was sold in the ULTIMATE Evening & Photographs Day Sales auction at Phillips in London in May 2018. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,117.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Matagalpa, Nicaragua is the most expensive artwork by Susan Meiselas that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Matagalpa, Nicaragua von Susan Meiselas wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion ULTIMATE Evening & Photographs Day Sales bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.117,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Matagalpa, Nicaragua das teuerste Kunstwerk von Susan Meiselas, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
