Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work And the Convoy Keeps Going by Suleiman Mansour. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 79,745.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Suleiman Mansour have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November last year the work Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar) was auctioned for GBP 101,100.00 (€ 117,151.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit And the Convoy Keeps Going von Suleiman Mansour zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 79.745,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Suleiman Mansour konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November letzten Jahres die Arbeit Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar) für GBP 101.100,00 (€ 117.151,82) versteigert.
