In October 2018 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work From Birzeit by Suleiman Mansour. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,915.37) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Suleiman Mansour have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar) in November last year with an auction result of GBP 101,100.00 (€ 117,151.82).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit From Birzeit von Suleiman Mansour zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.915,37) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Suleiman Mansour auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 101.100,00 (€ 117.151,82).
