Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fisher by Suleiman Mansour was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,653.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Suleiman Mansour have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar) in November last year with an auction result of GBP 101,100.00 (€ 117,151.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fisher von Suleiman Mansour kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Dubai zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 23.653,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Suleiman Mansour auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 101.100,00 (€ 117.151,82).
