Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work From Jerusalem by Suleiman Mansour was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 36,250.00 (€ 42,047.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Suleiman Mansour - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar), which sold at auction in November last year for GBP 101,100.00 (€ 117,151.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit From Jerusalem von Suleiman Mansour kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 36.250,00 (€ 42.047,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Für andere Arbeiten von Suleiman Mansour mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar) beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für GBP 101.100,00 (€ 117.151,82) versteigert wurde.
