Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in London held the auction Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection, which included the work Uncertain Landscape 1 by Suleiman Mansour. The price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,201.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Suleiman Mansour have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar) in November last year with an auction result of GBP 101,100.00 (€ 117,151.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Uncertain Landscape 1 von Suleiman Mansour zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.201,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Suleiman Mansour auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shaheda Min Tel al-Zaatar (The Witness of Tel al-Zaatar) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 101.100,00 (€ 117.151,82).
