In September 2017 Christies in Shanghai held the auction First Open | Shanghai, which included the work Painting Trace by Sui Jianguo. The »bidding war« ended at CNY 84,000.00 (€ 10,687.55), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sui Jianguo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Shadow Of The Century (Set Of Ten) in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 533,780.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion First Open | Shanghai durch, in der auch die Arbeit Painting Trace von Sui Jianguo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CNY 84.000,00 (€ 10.687,55) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sui Jianguo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Shadow Of The Century (Set Of Ten) im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 533.780,74).
