This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sui Jianguo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Shadow Of The Century (Set Of Ten) in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 533,780.74).
