Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Earthly Force No. 22 by Sui Jianguo was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 337,500.00 (€ 36,977.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sui Jianguo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Shadow Of The Century (Set Of Ten) in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,780,000.00 (€ 533,780.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Earthly Force No. 22 von Sui Jianguo wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 337.500,00 (€ 36.977,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sui Jianguo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Shadow Of The Century (Set Of Ten) im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.780.000,00 (€ 533.780,74).
