In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included this untitled work by Kokuta Suda. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,047.94), 52% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kokuta Suda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,205.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kokuta Suda zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.047,94) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kokuta Suda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.205,98).
