Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Kokuta Suda was worth HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,167.46) to a buyer in May 2019. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kokuta Suda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2016 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,205.98).

Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Kokuta Suda war einem Käufer im Mai 2019 HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.167,46) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Kokuta Suda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.205,98) versteigert wurde.
