Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract by Kokuta Suda was sold in the ASOBI: Japanese and Korean Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,616.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kokuta Suda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2016 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,205.98).

Die Arbeit Abstract von Kokuta Suda wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion ASOBI: Japanese and Korean Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.616,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kokuta Suda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.205,98) versteigert wurde.
