Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lighthouse Keeper, Brant Point by Stevan Dohanos was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 52,529.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stevan Dohanos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Art Lover (Tired Museum Feet), which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 108,013.46).
