This artwork by Stevan Dohanos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2020. In the American Art auction, the work Oxen Yoke, Sickle And Plow sold for USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,064.52) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stevan Dohanos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Art Lover (Tired Museum Feet) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 108,013.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stevan Dohanos erzielte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Oxen Yoke, Sickle And Plow für USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.064,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stevan Dohanos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Art Lover (Tired Museum Feet) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 108.013,46).
