Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White Umbrella by Stephen Scott Young was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. The price achieved of USD 56,250.00 (€ 40,412.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Stephen Scott Young have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Creole Girl (Red Bows) in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 348,000.00 (€ 258,678.36).

Die Arbeit White Umbrella von Stephen Scott Young kam im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 40.412,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden.
