Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Broken Window by Stephen Scott Young was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 105,750.00 (€ 81,421.31). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen Scott Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Creole Girl (Red Bows), which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 348,000.00 (€ 258,678.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Broken Window von Stephen Scott Young kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 105.750,00 (€ 81.421,31) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen Scott Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Creole Girl (Red Bows) beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 348.000,00 (€ 258.678,36) versteigert wurde.
