Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Driftwood Path by Stephen Scott Young was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,240.00 (€ 9,611.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Scott Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Creole Girl (Red Bows) in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 348,000.00 (€ 258,678.36).
