It achieved a price of USD 43,750.00 (€ 32,166.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Admittedly, works by Stephen Scott Young have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Creole Girl (Red Bows) in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 348,000.00 (€ 258,678.36).

Die Arbeit A Lucky Shot von Stephen Scott Young kam im September 2010 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 32.166,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Scott Young auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Creole Girl (Red Bows) im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 348.000,00 (€ 258.678,36).
