Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dressed For School by Stephen Scott Young was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. The price achieved of USD 145,000.00 (€ 98,720.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 125,000.00 – 175,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen Scott Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Creole Girl (Red Bows), which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 348,000.00 (€ 258,678.36).
