Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dressed For School by Stephen Scott Young was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. The price achieved of USD 145,000.00 (€ 98,720.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 125,000.00 – 175,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen Scott Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Creole Girl (Red Bows), which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 348,000.00 (€ 258,678.36).

Die Arbeit Dressed For School von Stephen Scott Young kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 145.000,00 (€ 98.720,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 125.000,00 – 175.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen Scott Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Creole Girl (Red Bows) beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 348.000,00 (€ 258.678,36) versteigert wurde.
