Despite a disappointment, a good price for Stephen Kaltenbach
This work of art by Stephen Kaltenbach could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work 9 x 9 foot cube hung under skylight changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,174.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, 9 x 9 foot cube hung under skylight is the most expensive artwork by Stephen Kaltenbach that we have observed at auction so far.
