Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (I) Untitled (Red) (II) Untitled (Yellow) (Iii) Untitled (Blue) by Stephen Cox was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2013. The price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,917.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Stephen Cox have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Turmeric Throng in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 7,767.50 (€ 12,014.56).

Die Arbeit (I) Untitled (Red) (II) Untitled (Yellow) (Iii) Untitled (Blue) von Stephen Cox kam im April 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.917,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Cox auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Turmeric Throng im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.767,50 (€ 12.014,56).
