A top price for Stephen Cox - as previously expected
The work Turmeric Throng by Stephen Cox was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002. The price achieved of GBP 7,767.50 (€ 12,014.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Turmeric Throng is the most expensive artwork by Stephen Cox that we have observed at auctions so far.
