The work Dancer II by Stephen Cox was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in February 2007. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 456.00 (€ 676.00), 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Cox achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Turmeric Throng in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 7,767.50 (€ 12,014.56).

Die Arbeit Dancer II von Stephen Cox wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 456,00 (€ 676,00) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stephen Cox erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Turmeric Throng im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.767,50 (€ 12.014,56).
