Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art Day Sale, which included the work Head Study V by Stephen Conroy. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,714.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Stephen Conroy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L.R. in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 86,900.00 (€ 124,794.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head Study V von Stephen Conroy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.714,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Conroy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L.R. im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.900,00 (€ 124.794,12).
