Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait Of A Woman by Stepan Dmitrievich Erzia was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,993.38). Admittedly, works by Stepan Dmitrievich Erzia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Head Of A Woman in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 88,124.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait Of A Woman von Stepan Dmitrievich Erzia im Oktober 2010 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.993,38) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stepan Dmitrievich Erzia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Head Of A Woman im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 88.124,22).
