Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,568.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stepan Dmitrievich Erzia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Head Of A Woman, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 62,500.00 (€ 88,124.22).
