Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Embarkation by Stanton Macdonald-Wright was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 149,000.00 (€ 108,135.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanton Macdonald-Wright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still-Life Synchromy in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Embarkation von Stanton Macdonald-Wright kam im Dezember 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 108.135,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanton Macdonald-Wright erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still-Life Synchromy im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
