The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,154.27), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanton Macdonald-Wright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still-Life Synchromy in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).

Die Arbeit Combat, 1956 von Stanton Macdonald-Wright wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion The Collection of Amalia de Schulthess Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.154,27) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanton Macdonald-Wright erzielen.
