It achieved a price of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,564.44), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanton Macdonald-Wright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still-Life Synchromy in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Synchromy image, 10 3/8 x 6 3/4 in. (26.4 x 17.2 cm.); sheet, 11 x 8 9/16 in. (27.9 x 21.8 cm.) von Stanton Macdonald-Wright wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.564,44) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanton Macdonald-Wright erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still-Life Synchromy im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
