A top price for Stanton Macdonald-Wright - as previously expected
In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Still-Life Synchromy by Stanton Macdonald-Wright. The price achieved of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still-Life Synchromy is the most expensive artwork by Stanton Macdonald-Wright that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still-Life Synchromy von Stanton Macdonald-Wright zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Still-Life Synchromy das teuerste Kunstwerk von Stanton Macdonald-Wright, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
