Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Jazz Fragment by Stanton Macdonald-Wright. It changed hands for a price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,794.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanton Macdonald-Wright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still-Life Synchromy in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jazz Fragment von Stanton Macdonald-Wright zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.794,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanton Macdonald-Wright erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still-Life Synchromy im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
