Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Stanley Brouwn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in December 2019. In the Art Contemporain Day Sale auction, the work El Coudée sold for EUR 47,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Stanley Brouwn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 1 X 1 X 1 Foot - 2 X 2 X 2 Feet - 3 X 3 X 3 Feet sold at auction in May 2019 with the realized price of EUR 68,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stanley Brouwn erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Sale wurde die Arbeit El Coudée für EUR 47.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Stanley Brouwn; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 1 X 1 X 1 Foot - 2 X 2 X 2 Feet - 3 X 3 X 3 Feet im Mai 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 68.750,00.
