Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Grail by Spencer Sweeney. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,720.00 (€ 25,496.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Spencer Sweeney have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2020 the work Saint Tropez Gigolo was auctioned for USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,466.45).
