In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Saint Tropez Gigolo by Spencer Sweeney. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,466.45), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, Saint Tropez Gigolo is even the most expensive work of art by Spencer Sweeney that we have observed at auctions so far.
