The work Ming Vases (and Ginger Jar) by Emil Carlsen was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2018. The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,000.00 (€ 85,689.80), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emil Carlsen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Pottery Jars, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 325,000.00 (€ 278,491.86).

Die Arbeit Ming Vases (and Ginger Jar) von Emil Carlsen wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 85.689,80) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Emil Carlsen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Pottery Jars beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 325.000,00 (€ 278.491,86) versteigert wurde.
